To add a new payment method:
- At the top right, click My Account
- Login to your account and Click Payment methods
- Click Add payment method
- Enter the card information and click Add payment method button
When you place an order, we show you the anticipated charge for your items, including mandatory tip, estimated taxes, and fees.
Out of stock/refunded items: If an item is out of stock, your shopper will mark the item as out of stock, and we’ll remove it from your item total. This will reduce the final amount of your order.
What is the service fee on my order?
There is a 5% service fee for a la carte (non-Express) customers. The service fee is not a tip.
There is no service fee for Instacart Express members, or for Pickup orders.
Alcohol service fee
The 5% service fee does not apply to alcohol. The alcohol service fee covers the additional cost associated with ensuring compliant delivery of alcohol products and ID verification. The service fee that applies to the alcohol portion of your order is:
- $0-$35 of alcohol: $2.00 fee
- $35.01-$75 of alcohol: $4.00 fee
- $75.01-$110 of alcohol: $8.00 fee
- $110.01 or more of alcohol: $10.00 fee
What if I am an Instacart Express subscriber?
There is no service fee for Instacart Express members.
Is there a service fee for Pickup orders?
No, there is no service fee for Pickup orders.
What is the tip on my order?
By default a 5% tip is suggested at checkout, with a minimum suggestion of $2 per individual store delivery. Tips are optional and the default tip may be adjusted at checkout or up to 3 days after the order is delivered.
Shoppers appreciate tips as a way of recognizing great service. 100% of your tip goes directly to the shopper delivering your order. For more information about tipping, follow this link.
Why did my service fee total change after delivery?
At checkout we show you the estimated total for your order. Changes to your order, such as replacing or refunding an item, may adjust your final charge. The final service fee and suggested tip on your receipt is based on the final order total at delivery.
Our shopping team works hard to bring you your order exactly as you specify. As with most services of this type, our shoppers appreciate tips as a way of recognizing excellent service. 100% of your tip goes directly to the shopper for your Stockedupp package.
Unlike other delivery services, our shoppers don’t ever actually interact with you – our end customers. So, to ensure they are given fair compensation, a mandatory tip amount is automatically added to the subtotal of your order.
You may also add an additional tip amount on top of the included tip if you wish to – 100% of this also goes to your shopper. This optional addition is presented to you just prior to confirming your order on the Checkout page.
How is a tip different than the service fee?
