A colorful version of classic Rotini, a corkscrew-shaped pasta that originated in Northern Italy. It’s shape was inspired by watching children playing – always in motion just like the spirals of Rotini.
The twists of Tri-Color Rotini allow it to hold more sauce, and may be enjoyed in your favorite pasta salad dishes or paired with delicious tomato-based sauces.
Ingredients
Semolina (wheat), Durum Wheat Flour, Dried Spinach, Dried Tomato. Vitamins/minerals: Vitamin B3 (niacin), Iron (ferrous Sulfate), Vitamin B1 (thiamine Mononitrate), Vitamin B2 (riboflavin), Folic Acid.
Directions
1. Bring 4 – 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add salt to taste.
2. Add contents of package to boiling water. Stir gently.
3. Return to a boil. For authentic “al dente” pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 8 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil an additional 1 minute.
4. Remove from heat. Drain well.
5. Serve immediately with your favorite Barilla sauce.
