May contain natural foreign materials; sort and rinse before cooking. Cooking Instructions: Publix Green Split Peas do not require soaking. Place 1 lb split peas (about 2 cups) and 6-8 cups water in large saucepan; cover and bring to just boiling on medium-high. Reduce heat to low and simmer gently, with lid tilted, about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until tender. (Makes about 6 cups cooked peas).
