Similac NeoSure* premature post-discharge baby formula promotes excellent catch-up growth1 during a premature baby’s first 12 months of life. It has enriched nutrition—increased protein, vitamins, and minerals for growth compared to term infant formula—as well as calcium and phosphorus for baby’s growing bones. It has DHA and lutein to help support baby’s brain and eye development, and it has no artificial growth hormones.‡ * Not for infants or children with galactosemia. † Total US premature infant formula, all outlets as of 10/01/2024, Nielsen data. ‡ Milk ingredients are derived from milk of non-rbST-treated cows, which is not different from milk of rbST-treated cows. Use by date on can.
Use as directed by a doctor.
Directions for preparation and use:
Your baby’s health depends on carefully following these directions. Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing infant formula. Failure to follow these directions could result in severe harm. Consult your baby’s doctor about the formula appropriate for your baby; the need to use cooled, boiled water for mixing; and the need to boil (sterilize) utensils, bottles, nipples and rings before use.
1. Wash your hands, surfaces and utensils.
Pour water into clean bottle (see mixing guide).
2. Add 1 unpacked level scoop (9.6 g) to each 2 fl oz of water.
Return dry scoop to can.
3. Cap bottle; shake well; attach nipple.
Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
Storage: once mixed, store bottles immediately in the refrigerator; feed to baby within 24 hours. Store unopened or opened container at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures. Use opened can contents within 1 month.
Warning: powdered infant formulas are not sterile and may be fed to premature infants or infants who might have immune problems only as directed by your baby’s doctor. Never use a microwave to warm formula.
Serious burns can result.
Mixing guide:
Measure water + add scoop(s) of unpacked level powder using enclosed scoop = finished bottle (approx).
2 fl oz – 1 scoop (9.6 g) – 2 fl oz.
4 fl oz – 2 scoops – 4 fl oz.
6 fl oz – 3 scoops – 6 fl oz.
8 fl oz – 4 scoops – 8 fl oz.
Similac 1 can = 6 fl oz, 14 bottles.
